Founder / CEO
Crossway Alliance is a Community Interest Company, providing health and wellbeing services in one of the most deprived areas of Manchester – Rochdale. Our primary focus is to address health inequalities. We work with local people by focusing on what matters to them. Our services are developed through community engagement to identify needs and barriers.
We strive to create a community of support that encourages healthy lifestyle choices and long-term wellness by establishing effective working relationships and partnerships with local residents, faith groups, GPs, voluntary and community organisations and other stakeholders.
Our organisation was established in 2023 by a local resident and public health physician, Dr Kenny Osunlalu, who was inspired by his experience in the community and engagement with local residents.
From a small beginning, we have grown into an organisation offering a combination of services including stop smoking service, local health campaigns, workshops, events and talks as well as volunteering opportunities, 1 to 1 support, social inclusion (a signposting service that provides advice and assistance to people who are excluded from the society helping them to integrate into the society by linking them to resources within the community).
Through our strategic and integrated programme, we empower people to take charge and manage their own health and wellbeing, and since inception we have given 1-1 support to over 300 locals, as well as seeing almost 750 attendances at our activity and group support sessions.
Our dedicated team are local residents and there is a diversity of experience, age, culture and skills. The services we provide are professional, consistent, free or low cost and culturally sensitive where appropriate, helping to build trust and remove barriers.
