Project Details :
There are challenges with vaccination uptake due to education and understanding, accessibility and barriers within GP practice, pharmacies, culture and language barriers. The increase in pharmacy vaccination delivery will help those facing barriers of access due to timing of clinics and location of vaccination, but won’t help address the cultural and educational barriers. Evidence shows that, the uptake is lowest in the central Rochdale areas. This coincides with areas high in BAME population and among the most deprived wards in the borough. The projects will focus on increasing awareness of COVID-19 vaccinations, address the common myths, misinformation and misunderstandings and help significantly increase uptake of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Final Results :
The campaign educated and informed the public about how vaccines protect not only individuals but entire communities – including those who are vulnerable such as newborns and older adults. Changing the views of those who are highly sceptical about vaccines is very difficult to achieve.
We focused on amplifying positive and accurate information about vaccines, and building people’s resilience to false information.
