Description for our service

Our creative public health service brings together arts, culture and creativity with public health. Evidence suggest that  arts and culture can have a positive effect on health and wellbeing. The sessions will provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.

Although these sessions may provide therapeutic or calming effect it can act as a point of contact and reassurance. Activities may include, reading writing, drawing and painting, arts and craft.

Our service does not include urgent or emergency support. If you’re in immediate danger of harming yourself or others: Go directly to the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department of your local hospital to get help.If you are feeling distressed and need urgent support. Contact your GP surgery to request an emergency appointment.

We understand that people struggle with thriving and coping. Our service is tailored to your needs and we have 1-2-1 sessions if that is your preference, but we do encourage peer support where you can interact with others who may have similar experience or interest.

This is not a mental health service and does not replace any mental health support you may be receiving from a professional therapist.
